Hockey: ChillTech Old Girls stick to top of table

ChillTech Old Girls have maintained a clean sheet for the third game in a row, defeating Club Auto Hikurangi 2-0 to sit top of the table.

After a weekend off over Easter, Old Girls managed to put away a spirited Hikurangi side in their women's premier competition match.

Earlier on Saturday, Whangarei Girls' High School came out on top in a competitive match against Real Deal Karamea 2-1.

Rounding out the weekend's premier hockey results was the newly formed Mangapai side defaulting to Gilmore Brown Springfield on Friday night.

In premier men's matches, Dempster & Hill Electrical Maungakaramea came out easy winners against Currie Electrical Springfield, winning 3-0.

In the weekend's other premier men's match Bream Bay suffered a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Morris and Morris Mangapai.

On the points table, Maungakaramea sit top with two wins and a draw followed by Mangapai and Springfield who sit equal with one loss, one draw, and one win. Sitting bottom is Bream Bay whose best result is a draw.
