A reader believes John Key and his government are not listening to the people of New Zealand.

When an employee is fired for distrustful behaviour they are usually paid up and asked to leave immediately before they cause more damage one way or another.

I wish that John Key and his team could be removed ASAP from governing this country before they do more fundamental damage to New Zealand.

They were elected to represent and act on the majority wishes of the people of this country. It is frightening for me to see they are not listening to the voice of the people of New Zealand.

They are clearly, in what must surely be their last term in government, trying to ingratiate themselves to certain influential offshore individuals and companies by creating openings for them to establish in New Zealand in ways that fly in the face of what New Zealanders want for their country.

How else can the Government's current manoeuvring to allow GE trees for plantation forestry in New Zealand by amending the National Environmental Standard (NES) for plantation forestry in NZ be explained? This is an outright attack against the wishes of the NZ population, the nation's district councils and the iwi who have specifically made rules and provisions against outdoor use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Ask yourself who is going to benefit from this - it is offshore super investors.
This is just another attempt to betray and undermine legislation that to date has protected us from global exploitation and experimentation.

The secretive TPPA fiasco is one. The non-action re immigration issues is another.
Why are they doing this?

Are they doing this to secure themselves global futures after leaving politics at the expense of New Zealanders' vision for their country?

How can this Government be quickly removed? I no longer trust them to rule with the heart of New Zealand in mind.
