The 'h-bombed' bollards in Whangarei are still generating controversy.

The 'h-bombed' bollards in Whangarei are still generating controversy.

RE Heather Carthew's letter re the bollards.

"Inadvertently breached our lease by painting the bollards?" What part of defacing public property does this person not understand?

If I was to paint her fence in garish colours then say "I did not think I did wrong" would this make it OK?

The graffiti artists around the town do not think they are doing wrong either but defacing any property not owned by themselves is vandalism and that must apply to everybody.

It is a well-known fact that The Bach are right behind the Hundertwasser and Wairau Maori Art Centre project and must be commended for their passion but one gets a little tired of being told about how we, the public, are being fed "scare-mongering and misinformation".
