This weekend sees the Centre playing Men's Open Fours and Women's Open Singles at the following greens:

Men's Centre Open Fours are to be played Saturday, January 20 at Onerahi greens.

J Thorburn, A Stebben, T Reader, G Bond, J Dunn, T Webb, P Wightman, K Robinson, B Scott, S Mitchell, L Reader, P Nicholson, P Price, C Shepherd, S Nelson.

Play starts at 8.45am.

Women's Centre Open Singles are to be played on Saturday, January 20.

At Waipu greens: E Chrol, C Downs, S Rokstad, L Mills, M Attwood, M Gurney, C Budge, C Neeley, A Muir, D Hardy, D Owens, D Robinson.

At One Tree Point greens: D Strawbridge, G Sandilands, H Smeath, J Erceg, J Hardie, J Walker, K Cooper, M Guttenbeil, S Wightman, S Ayerst.

Reminder: One marker between two players from a club is required please. Play commences at 8.45am.

Post section play on Sunday will be played at the Waipu greens for both events. The winners will represent Northland in the regional event at Onerahi on March 11-15.

Clubs are reminded that entries close today for the Centre 1-5 Inter Club Sixes event to be played at the Kamo greens on January 29. Entries to the Centre office with entry fee of $60 per team please.

The Maori bowls annual tournament will be played on February 3-4 in Rotorua. About 82 teams of fours for men and women will be competing.

The final of the Centre Mixed Pairs will be played at the Onerahi greens on February 6 and will be followed by the semifinals and final of the Women's Centre Open Fours. The Men's Centre Triples have yet to be finalised also. These matches were all originally disrupted by inclement weather earlier in the season.

The NZ Trust tournament hosted by Auckland Centre will be played starting on February 10.

All those competing are advised that the draw for this event is now on the Auckland website, www.aucklandbowls.co.nz.

Junior Bowlers: (1-5 year) are reminded that their singles event for men and women will be played February 17-18. Entries are now being accepted and should be made on the Centre website, email to the Centre events manager or by entry form in the Centre handbook.

Club Open tournaments to be played this coming week are as follows: Mon 22nd Mt Manaia MX Triples; Tue 23rd Kamo Classic Fours (2 men, 2 women); Wed 24th Hikurangi AC Variety Pairs; Thur 25th Kensington Men's Triples, Sun 28th Arapohue AC 1-10 Triples.
