Twenty club teams took part in the President's day sponsored by the
Centre president and Carter Holt Harvey at the Whangārei
greens on Wednesday.

Fittingly the winners on the day were the Centre
Presidents team of Dusty Reader, Roger Kerr-Davis, Paul Price and Carol
Neeley. Runner-up was Larry Vallance, Dave
Mora, Laurel Jones and Eva
Chrol, Whangārei, with Trevor Hay, Dave Milich, D. James and Scott
Morrison of One Tree Point third.

The Umpires Association are holding their annual fundraising any
combination triples at the Onerahi greens on Tuesday, April 16. Please
enter your team by contacting Bruce Scott on telephone 4352512.

The Coaching Association fundraising tournament is also to be played at
the Kamo greens on Tuesday. April 30. This event is being run as an any
combination bonus fours event. Entries to Sue Wightman telephone 09
4314795. Entry forms are in the Centre hand book.

Northland secondary school bowls is the next event on the Northland
calendar and will be played at Kamo green on Friday, April 5. This
event will be played as any combination pairs. Entry is via your school
and Sport Northland.

Calendar events for this next week are: March 30-31 - Hikurangi Men's
Triples, Monday April 1 Mt Manaia Mx Triples, Tuesday April 2 - Maungakaramea AC
Triples; Wednesday April 3 - Mangawhai Charity AC Triples; Thursday April 4 - Whangārei AC 2 x 4 x 2 pairs; Saturday April 6-Sunday April 7 - Arapohue Men's Triples.

Venues for Champion of Champion events have been confirmed as follows:
April 13 - Fours - Men at Whangārei; women at Kamo
April 14- Singles - Men at Dargaville; women at Arapohue;
April 27 - Pairs - Men at Onerahi; women at Kensington;
April 28 - Triples - Men and women at Mangawhai.
