Danielle Johnson on Amazing Az took a narrow win over Sam Spratt on Transformer in race three at the Harcourts Daffodil Raceday at Ruakākā on Saturday.

The Harcourts Daffodil Raceday at Ruakākā on Saturday saw a large crowd of punters flock to the Whangārei racetrack for a full card of racing.

Funds raised from the day go to the Cancer Society.

Northern Advocate photographer John Stone went along too.
