The Golf Northland women's Champion of Champions tournament was held over the weekend with clubs around Northland sending their champions along to test their skills against the rest.
Set up around the challenging Mangawhai Golf Course, it was a test of attrition in all of the divisions.
While all competitorswere out to put their name on their individual division trophies, there were club honours up for grabs as well in the teams event.
The Wellsford ladies consisting of Alayna Cox, Heather Thomas and Sue Hadfield were the best three on the day with Whangaroa's team coming in a close second.
It was a family affair in the silver division with long time Northland representative Sam Dangen (158) from Whangaroa taking the honours over her daughter Brooke Kingi (161).
The bronze division was contested over 36 holes and there was nothing in it with Sue Dodds from Hikurangi (188) victorious by one stroke over Lynn Causer (189) from Waipu.
In the seniors, Val Lawrie from Northern Wairoa triumphed in their 18-hole gross competition with a score of 91 with Kyra Rapana from Houhora coming in a close second with a score of 95.

Karyn Ferguson (141) from Ngunguru was the 36-hole nett winner in the silver division, Susannah Starkie (143) from The Pines was the bronze 36-hole nett winner and Elva Kerr (73) also from The Pines took the nett honours in the senior division.
Following this event, the Northland Women's Representative side was announced.
The team is: Samantha Dangen (Whangaroa), Kylie Jacoby (Waipu), Brooke Kingi (Whangaroa), Soktaerodh Sean (Northland), Belinda May (Mangawhai) and one more to be added.
