Glow-in-the-dark puppets, music and te reo Māori will be used to tell the story of Matariki in a show coming to Northland.

HEAVEN and EARTH - RANGI and PAPA is the brainchild of Northland woman Sarah Burren, director of Little Green Man Productions.

The story, which is coming to Northland next month, explores the seven sisters and the legend of Matariki using UV puppets, including a 5-metre taniwha, an original soundtrack and te reo Māori.

The show, which sold out over Matariki last year, will be brought to life by four actors operating 40 puppets.

After each 40 minute show in Kaitāia, Kerikeri, Whangārei and Dargaville there will be a question and answer session.
