Men and women police, firefighters and other civil servants will come to blows in Whangarei amateur boxing bouts aimed at aiding earthquake victims in Christchurch and Japan.
The fight night will feature about 14 bouts, with the main event between Whangarei police officer and Northland rugby stalwart Doug "The Demolition"Te Puni and Auckland policeman Siloi "Sniper" Tofilau.
The Shake, Rattle and Roll fight night will be held at Forum North on Saturday.
Shake, Rattle and Roll follows an inaugural services charity boxing event in Whangarei five years ago that raised $15,000 for North Haven Hospice. It was resurrected by emergency personnel who had worked in earthquake-hit Christchurch.
Funds raised by the October fights, organised by Better World Charitable Trust, will be given to the Whangarei Salvation Army in Christchurch and to the Red Cross in Japan.
