Fighters converge for Boxing Explosion 6

Boxing fans will be treated to top-quality action at Boxing Explosion 6 tonight.

Fighters from Cuba, Argentina, Australia, Tahiti and New Zealand will fight it out at Kensington Stadium.

Organiser Tim Bowman said they were almost ready to go.

"We're there or thereabouts in preparations. The fighters aren't all settled in yet but they're getting there," he said.

"Argentina have been training at the Whangarei Boxing Gym, while Tahiti and Australia have both arrived in the area over the last couple of days.

"We're all under way with getting Kensington ready for the night. It'll all be right on the night."

Ticket sales have been going well, with most if not all of the corporate tables taken.

The fight night starts at 6:30pm.
