I agree with Kylie Bax, yes Donald Trump is a man.

But that is no excuse for treating women like objects.

The Kiwi Supermodel says she still supports Trump in his bid to become the next President of the United States.

She is going against the tide as more and more high-profile Republicans distance themselves from their own candidate, especially now there are more claims of inappropriate sexual conduct circulating.

American Julian Robertson, who owns Cape Kidnappers, has given more than $5 million to the Republican Party since 2012, according to the New York Times. However, he too has turned away from Trump and is now supporting Libertarian Gary Johnson.

Ms Bax made it clear she did not condone Trump's behaviour but said "I'm sorry, but he is a man".

Now I'm slightly miffed.

Since when was one's gender an excuse for bad behaviour?

I've never heard it used in the court room - "Sorry your Honour, I couldn't help myself, I'm a man."

This comment is similar to those who say women "are asking for it" when they wear a short skirt. I find this too highly offensive.

I don't care who you are, but no man has the right to treat a woman like that.

Our mothers and grandmothers worked hard to get the vote and for women to be treated as equals in all spheres of life.

I've heard some argue that Trump's "locker room talk" will not affect how he runs the country.

Whoever is chosen to run the country is up to the American people. But the saying "lead by example" springs to mind.
