Swiss ambassador David Vogelsanger and Northland Inc general manager Paul Davis were among a group of about 50 foreign diplomats and partners who stopped over for a visitors' guide to Whangarei en route to the Waitangi celebrations.
The regional economic development unit Northland Inc helped plan and host yesterday's visitin conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Although the foreign affairs affair was kept largely under wraps, the diplomats were taken to a farm, the Leadership Academy of A Company, the Town Basin and attended a pre-dinner function where some local businesses showcased their product.
