The group came second at the regional competition closely behind Whangarei-based Hardcore Dance Company's crew - Kani Krew.
"They did really well and they're really proud. Our aim is always to win but that doesn't always happen."
Ms Curtis said the quality of hip-hop dance in both Northland and New Zealand was high.
"We already hold world champions like the Bradaz so our competition is stiff. In Northland it's also high, but competition is good," she said.
Ms Curtis said she was also happy her adult crew, DDF Crew, qualified. She said with one Argentinian ballerina, a Swiss ballerina and three Northland dancers, including Ms Curtis, it was a last-minute rush to sort a routine.
Other Northland dance crews who qualified for the nationals include Future Crew, The Secret, Ngapuhi Junior, Kani Krew, Double 'em, Premi'e, Blueprint and AOD.
