Duracrete Products City, Onerahi Central and Kamo High all picked up strong wins in the second round of reserve grade Declaration Cricket.

City put Kamo under immediate pressure through the bowling of Terry Jobbit and Vaughn Witten.

Jobbit, bowling 13 overs on the trot, tore through Kamo's top and middle order to take 6-22 from his spell.

Only Logan Choat (23) made it past 20 as Kamo were bundled out for 93.

Witten was also tough to get away, taking 3-39.

In reply, City cruised to the total with all top four batsman contributing.

Bruce Kessell (24 not out) and Harley Smith (30 not out) knocked off the runs in 29 overs to take the points.

Meanwhile, Kamo High took the spoils in a rain-affected clash at Westech Automotives Maungakaramea.

Kamo High sent Maungakaramea in to bat and that proved a wise decision as they put on a great team bowling effort.

Nathan Parkes was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4-14, while Cam Gordon was Maungakaramea's best with the bat as he scored 19 of his side's 93.

The weather left a reduced target of 55, which was decided on by the two captains, and Kamo High comfortably got home with eight wickets to spare.

Parkes (20) and Harry Cooper (17 not out) pulled their side through for the victory.

Onerahi Central recovered from a dire 44/6 to beat Kerikeri by 71 runs.

Off-spinner Krish Patel (3-28) and leg-spinner Max Hart (3-28) made life difficult for the Onerahi top order before Parsan Lohia's 36 got them out of a spot of bother and led them to a total of 130 from 47 overs.

In reply only Luke Halligan and Owen Arthur (both 18) got into double figures as Onerahi utilised the two-paced artificial wicket to full effect, bowling Kerikeri out for 59.

Axel Sheppard (4-24) ripped through the first four batsmen before Sid Rana (3-4) and Andrew Johnsen (3-8) finished off the rest.
