Hundreds poured into the Dargaville Memorial Hall's foyer to see the exquisite delights on display at this year's Christmas Expo.
Included with the more than 40 elaborately decorated Christmas trees in last week's three-day event were Christmas-themed tables and mantle settings.
Visitors could be tempted by "presentables" from the stalls, raffles or
partake of a leisurely afternoon or morning tea, made all the more special by the homemade goodies on offer.
Apart from the traditionally decorated trees there was a lollipop, bonnet, Humpty Dumpty, Mary Mary, Oranges and Lemons, Ring a Ring a Rosie and numerous other nursery rhyme trees.
A lego tree was very popular with the boys while the Barbie tree caught the eye of the girls.
Spokeswoman Judy Dysart said the annual expo - the fourth organised by the Northern Wairoa Lions received an excellent response from the community. Six classes from the Dargaville Primary School also attended.
"We initially did the expo to help add a festive effect for the community to enjoy. It has proved popular and grown from the 14 trees to the more than 40 on display today."
Proceeds from the Expo go back into community approved projects.
