A Walther P99 Pistol was among 15 firearms stolen from a Northland property.

None of 15 high-powered firearms stolen in a burglary of a Northland home five weeks ago have been recovered by police.

One of the guns in the cache was similar to that used in the Orlando massacre that left 49 patrons of a gay nightclub dead in Orlando, Florida.

The shooter in America was armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, while the stolen firearm in Dargaville was an Arsenal AK AR M9F.

Dargaville police Detective Andrew Bailey said police have had no information relating to any of the firearms being offered for sale since the burglary.

"The public need to remain vigilant and if approached to purchase a firearm please report it to the police so that it can be followed up," Mr Bailey said.
