The Centre Open Singles Championship will be played this weekend. This is the final event of the Bowls NZ Club Championships and the winners will represent Northland in the regional event to be held next month in the Far North.

Please note the earlier reporting time. Check with your club or the centre website for conditions of play.

Form error

Please note that there is an error on the entry form for the Centre first year singles. The tournament is scheduled for February 28 and not March. Entries close on February 18. Clubs please ensure that all you first year bowlers are entered for this fixture.

Regional finals

The regional finals of the New Zealand Interclub will be held next weekend in the North Harbour Centre. Division 1 will be played at Browns Bay and Division 2 at Milford.

Good luck to our teams from Kensington & Hikurangi (Division 1) and Maungaturoto and Onerahi (Division 2).

The same weekend, Savanna Lauder and Lauren Mills will be busy in Wellington playing in the annual North Island versus South Island event. Good bowling to you both.

Umpires event

The Umpires annual tournament is to be played at the Kamo greens on February 20. Entries are still being accepted. This is an any combination triples tournament.
