Assaulted jogger remains in hospital

A female jogger who was sexually assaulted after she was dragged off the Hatea Loop is still recovering in Whangarei Hospital.
The woman, who is in her early 20s, was attacked early on April 29 while out running and driven to a house where she was sexually assaulted.
She was
left badly injured in central Whangarei, where a member of the public found her and alerted emergency services.
Whangarei Hospital staff confirmed the woman was in a stable condition.
A man has been arrested in relation to the incident.
