Those wanting to mark Te Wairua o Matariki the Spirit of Matariki can celebrate at an event in Dargaville tomorrow.
The Te Wairua ō Matariki/Spirit of Matariki celebration is being held at Selwyn Park, on the corner of Jervois St and Carrington St, Dargaville, tomorrow from 2pm-7pm.
The family event is open to all ages and admission is free.
It's a free community event that has workshops, T-shirt printing, art projects, stalls, hangi, live music and performing fire show from Circus Kumarani.
There will be plenty of things for the whole whānau to enjoy.
There will be screen printing again this year, so people can take a T-shirt and get their own Spirit of Matariki design for just $10.
There will also be a few circus kumarani designs available on the day too.
People are also urged to take in a drawing of what Matariki means to them with their name, age and phone number to be in to win some prizes.
They can be handed in to the art stall between 2pm-5pm to be judged. There will be prizes for different age groups to be drawn.
