Chanelle to put on free show at library

A children's entertainer will brighten winter days for kids with songs, stories, and laughter. For activities to entertain the kids during school holidays, performer Chanelle, winner of the APRA New Zealand's Best Children's Song back in 2013, will put on a free show at the Whangarei Library on Saturday, July 22, from 10.30am to 12pm.

Waikato winner hits jackpot

A Lotto player from Waikato is $1million richer after winning Lotto First Division on Saturday.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto. Technical difficulties meant Saturday's draw was conducted off air under audit scrutiny. The Lotto numbers were 17, 18, 21, 34, 37 and 40, and the bonus ball 12.

The Powerball number from the audited draw was 01. Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday night, to be worth $6 million.

Strike Four also jackpotted and will be $300,000.
