Community organisations looking for money for capital projects have until the end of the month to apply to the Far North District Council for a grant.
The council has $200,000 available to groups across the district for community sport, recreation and culture projects.
The scheme complements the Community Grants Fund administered by community boards.
Deputy Mayor Tania McInnes said the council had received just one request since it called for applications in December, but was hoping for more before the January 30 closing date.
She said projects needed a business plan and had to show community support and fundraising.
