Save Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on State Highway 1 on the Southern side of the Brynderwyn Hill South of Whangarei.
It is believed that two cars have collided head on and several people are injured.
Two people with serious injuries are being cut out of
the wreckage by the fire service.
Traffic diversions are in place either side of the crash scene.
