Ezekiel Raui from Taipa Area School.

Ezekiel Raui from Taipa Area School is 17. He was a director of Inferno Events, a company set up under the Northland Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES). He scooped the Frank Leadley Award as Enterprise Champion and BDO Award for Young Managing Director of the Year. We asked him a few questions.

1. Describe yourself in three words?
For the people.

2. What is the most important advice you have ever been given?
You can achieve whatever you put your mind too.

3. When it's been a full-on week, what is your favourite way to unwind?
Spend time with my younger brother, playing on the PlayStation 4.

4. What is the one thing you could not live without each day?
My family.

5. What would you like to do after school and why?
I would like to go off to university to study. I am looking at studying law and political science as I am hoping to become a judge in the court but I have been keeping my mind open lately as I have been involved in a lot and have been looking into teaching or business as other possibilities. My main goal is to one day become the prime minister of New Zealand.

6. Do you have any party tricks?
I don't party, but I enjoy singing along to the music.

7. What album is playing on your stereo/computer/iPhone at the moment?
Boyz II Men - Motown Hits.

8. What cheers you up when you feel down?
Spending time with my family.

9. Who in your opinion is a great local role model for Northland teens and why?
I think Dr Lance O'Sullivan is because he is the perfect example of someone who through perseverance and the right mindset achieved great things like New Zealander of the year.

10. What is your secret passion and why?
Teaching. I enjoy helping my peers and those younger and older than me by teaching them everything I know to hopefully assist them with what they are taking part in.
