A new season, inevitably, for most of us means a new wardrobe. If you're savvy, updating your look for summer doesn't have to mean breaking the bank. However, there are a few summer staples that should be on everyone's must-have list this season. In the next few weeks we'll look at our picks for summer essentials, here are our first three:
Swimsuits that flatter
Shopping for a swimsuit and hitting the beach in it for the first time shouldn't be a daunting experience. Start browsing the shops now to see what takes your fancy. Swimsuits should never be purchased in haste, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to try on different styles and work out what suits your body shape and what doesn't. We love Nancy Ganz swimwear which accentuates all the right curves and hides areas we'd rather keep covered.

Totally tribal accessories

If you've already got your hands on the latest copy of Simply You then you will have picked up on the fact we're totally in love with anything tribal right now. If you don't want to go all out with prints from the animal kingdom, then tribal inspired accessories are a quick way to update your wardrobe. Think big chunky necklaces and bracelets made with wooden beads, shells and other natural materials. And don't forget sometimes with fashion rules are made to be broken, so layer and experiment with accessories as much or as little as you like.

Super summer sandals

We can't wait to move our winter boots to the back of the wardrobe and in to hibernation for another season. The main reason being, we're dying to paint our toes in candy colours and try on all the new summer sandals out there. Super high, strappy heels are perfect for occasion dressing and embellished flats can be dressed up and down, ideal for lazy days spent by the pool or barbeques in the afternoon.
