Simply You Living is all about fashionable lifestyles and come summer - the season for entertaining - there is no better time to spruce up your living space and inject some fresh ideas into your home. We have noticed the increasing overlap between the world of fashion and interior design
and just love the collision of the two worlds, as many of our favourite runway trends are being translated for the world of interiors. If you're getting ready to do some redecorating and need some inspiration, here are some of our favourite trends this season.
Out of Africa
We are head-over-heels with the tribal trend that rocked the runway, so of course are excited to see it infused into living spaces too. If you love the trend as much as we do and are feeling like taking a bold decorating step this summer, look for wallpaper in tribal or animal prints. Or, if you're not quite ready to overhaul your entire living space, opt for a tribal-inspired statement piece.
Sing the blues
When it comes to fashion, denim is never really out. Whether it be your favourite jeans or a jacket, denim pieces are essentials whatever the season. So it seems only natural that the denim trend trickles down into interiors also. Check out the variety of denim textiles available at the moment - think new curtains and cushions to match, which look stunning paired with crisp, bright whites.
Rainbow bright
Nothing says summer quite like bright and cheery colours. As the sun starts to shine, drab black and grey tones are pushed to the back of the wardrobe to make room for clothing in all colours of the rainbow. Bright colours evoke a sense of happiness, so why not take the same approach with your living space? Think about colour-blocking when it comes to injecting some life into your home. Whether it's bright cushions, a statement sofa in a stunning aqua blue, or a dining set in audacious aubergine, this summer there are a plethora of bright pieces to keep everyone happy - no matter what your favourite hue may be.
