Show some big love for the Slacks, who have announced a tour, single and video.

Big Aroha is the song, a track they says evokes the true spirit of Kiwiana. Making good use of te reo, the song celebrates strong community ties and reflects the band's deep roots within Taranaki and wider New Zealand through its video set in Moturoa, New Plymouth.

The Slacks (Scott Armstrong, Mark Armstrong, Blake Gibson and Zane Greig) formed in 1999 and have released two albums - Suppressed Inventions and Welcome to the Rolling Vibe.

Their tour, which kicks off next Friday, March 17 in New Plymouth, hits Whangarei (March 24), Onewhero (March 25) and Auckland (April 6). Tickets from Eventfinda.

Andrew Keoghan returns to New Zealand from his Los Angeles base for three shows next month.

Keoghan, who has released the new single Something Going On from his second album Every Orchid Offering, will perform at Christchurch's Blue Smoke with Flip Grater on April 21, Wellington's Meow on April 27 and Auckland's Tuning Fork on April 28. Tickets Under the Radar (Chch, Wgt) and Ticketmaster (Akl).

Port Chalmers singer-songwriter Nadia Reid has been receiving major international accolades for her album Preservation.

The Guardian described "perfectly crafted statements from a blossoming talent" while MOJO called the album one of the year's landmark releases.

Record Collector awarded Preservation 5 stars and called it "simply breathtaking".

The New Zealand Herald's TimeOut said Reid's voice was "otherworldly - the kind that stops you in your tracks or leaves you crying on public transport".

Back from sellout shows in the UK and Europe, Reid will soon head out on a New Zealand tour, kicking off in Port Chalmers on March 30, and taking in mainly South Island venues as well as gigs in Wellington and Auckland.
