Hang around Vector for the big stars
One of my favourite Auckland haunts would have to be Vector Arena, simply because it hosts the nation's finest platter of top-line entertainment.
After getting your oxygen fix blazing the Queen City's walking trails, treat yourself to a world-class gig. Here's a sampling of some
of the headline events coming soon to this premier entertainment venue. Bon Jovi, will usher in the festive season with a multi-sensory production on December 5. They first strode the world stage 26 years ago, and 120 million album sales later, Bon Jovi will be accompanied by one of the biggest live show sets ever in New Zealand.
For a complete change of pace, pay a visit to Auckland around December 12, and partake in an emerging festive event that has struck a huge chord with Aucklanders. Carols by Glowstick is a free family event, although you still need to secure a ticket to guarantee a seat.
Country superstar Kenny Rogers kicks off his Downunder tour in Auckland on January 21. The multi-Grammy legend will perform all of his hits and the Topp Twins will be his support act.
Also check out the Spanish extravaganza, El Caballo Blanco, on February 5. Neil Diamond, will belt out all his household hits in late February.
