Until now, if someone said to me "alcoholic natural yoghurt liqueur", my brain would have conjured up images of weather-beaten nomadic Mongolians shaking off their weary work on the unforgiving tundra by throwing back brackish bowls of fly-blown and fermented yak's milk.
Hardly appealing.
But the new Natural Yoghurt Liqueur just released
by BOLS is absolutely heavenly.
Smooth, creamy and with a clean, fruity tang, it is incredibly tasty with freshly chopped strawberries or passionfruit syrup or, better still, with a simple ice cube.
My personal favourite is a mix of two parts BOLS and one part lemon curd - I've dubbed it the lemon meringue, and it's sensational.
I'm sure it won't take long for this yoghurt liqueur to become a staple in liquor cabinets and tiki bars across the country.
