With all the big-screen action that Christmas gets, it's about time Easter had its own magical movie.
And Hop definitely delivers on the magic.
My favourite movie from the past year is still Despicable Me, and given this animation is made by the same team, my hopes were high for Hop.
Russell Brand
voices E.B., the heir to the Easter Bunny, who is his dad, voiced by Hugh Laurie.
But teenage E.B. has no dreams of running the Wonka-style factory run by cute-as-can-be chicks and bunnies.
He dreams of being a drummer. Human teen Fred O'Hare's life is following the same path - his family want him to get a job while he's happy to slump on the couch, until he's kicked out.
The two stars of the show meet when O'Hare - yes, this is one very pun-nerific film - runs over E.B., who has escaped Easter Island via a magical rabbit hole so he can try and fulfil his Hollywood dreams.
As the lives of the two collide, there are plenty of giggles.
The kids in the audience loudly enjoyed the appearance of The Pink Berets - a team of royal bunny guards sent to retrieve E.B. and take him back to Easter Island.
The adults also get their fair share of laughs as E.B. thinks he has found his new home at Hugh Hefner's mansion - "home to sexy bunnies" - and David Hasselhoff gives him his shot at the big time.
No huge levels of intelligence are required for this one: anyone in need of an escape or a way to keep the kids busy over the holidays will find it's just the ticket.
