Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever
HarperCollins
It's always a bit ridiculous when someone who isn't even old enough to vote decides to write an autobiography. Still, Justin Bieber manages to wax on for 240 pages about his tender 16 years.
Still, I decided I wasn't really the target market to give it a fair appraisal.
I handed it over to my 10-year-old stepdaughter and her friends, who were devoted Bieber-followers last time I checked.
Despite telling me that they were now "a bit over" Mr Bieber and had moved on to fresher things, the book was duly devoured and handed around other slightly-less-fanatic-than-they-were Bieberites.
The young singer has had a hugely successful debut album, 10 million hits on YouTube, has sung for the US president and caused chaos among the tween ladies wherever he's gone - including having his hat stolen at Auckland airport. This is probably a fairly safe bet if you are looking for a Christmas stocking filler.
Whether he's still around for next Christmas remains to be seen.
