Fun with Jane: City skyline

Charlie loves the city skyline at night - so we made a diorama and gave it light.

What you'll need

How to make it

• 
  We found a great sturdy cardboard box and cut off two sides. This gave us the base for the diorama.

• 
  Paint the base black, along with some other boxes and when dry, add some glittery cardboard for the windows.

• 
  Cut out shapes for other windows. We lit up with a torch inside the box - it looked awesome! If you don't have a torch, but access to a mobile phone - download a free torch app for the desired effect.

  We taped seven toilet rolls together in a circle to make a Sky Tower replica. After painting the rolls with PVA we sprinkled glitter over them. It was messy, but mess can be tidied and the cleaning up at the end of a craft session is an important part of the learning. We have to learn to put our stuff away.
