The Resident

Hilary Swank has always been one to challenge herself with the variety of roles she takes on.
The Academy Award-winning actor first came to our attention in 1999 with her breakout role in Boys Don't Cry and since that time we have seen her
in everything from lighter efforts like P.S. I Love You (2007) and Amelia (2009) to more dramatic roles like Freedom Writers (2007) and Conviction (2010).
The Resident moves Swank into the scary thriller genre, where she shows her incredible versatility.
Swank plays the role of Juliet Devereau, an ER doctor forced to find a new home after her partner's infidelity.
When fate hands her a beautiful Brooklyn loft and Max (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), an attractive landlord, she thinks life is starting to turn around.
But things are not as they seem and strange things start happening that she can't explain.
Before she has the opportunity to discover who is behind the weirdness, her life hangs by a thread and she must use every bit of her intellect and energy to escape the threat.
The Resident is a creepy, edge-of-your-seat thriller but it does seem to reveal a bit too much a bit too early.
