Ride Along, Universal

If you come along for a ride with James and Ben, you won't be disappointed.

There's a touch of action, there are lots of laughs and there's an entertaining storyline pulling it all together.

James (Ice Cube) is a top cop who pretty much does as he pleases. He knows there's a drug kingpin in Atlanta running guns but the man remains a mystery.

James is determined to find him whether his boss wants him to or not.

Ben (Kevin Hart) is a security guard who dreams of being a policeman one day.

The two men are linked by Angela (Tika Sumpter) -- James' sister and Ben's girlfriend. James can't stand his potential brother-in-law and thinks even less of his chances of becoming a cop.

James thinks if he gets Ben along for a day on the road as his partner, he'll show him what a loser he is and what a poor policeman he'd make. And so the fun begins.

James finds all the most pathetic jobs and drops Ben right in them. Ben loses confidence fast and realises he might not be cut out for the job.

It is during their 24 hours together that drug lord Omar (Laurence Fishburne) emerges from the shadows and his men inside the police force reveal themselves.

It is now life or death stuff for James and Ben must show his true colours.
