What's not to love about Marmaduke? That big, goofy great dane is back and entertaining another generation of children.
With comic actor Owen Wilson bringing Marmaduke alive in this adventure, we are in for plenty of fun. Although Marmaduke may be loveable, his awkward and inquisitive ways mean trouble
is never too far away.
The big mutt's life is turned upside down when his owner takes a new job in California and the family must leave its idyllic rural life for a new life in California.
In Marmaduke's world, all dogs are created equal so when he discovers a hierarchy among the dogs at his local park, he is concerned. Marmaduke can't understand why he can't spend a little quality time with gorgeous purebred collie Jezebel (voiced by Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas). But Bosco (Kiefer Sutherland), the alpha dog of the park, will not have any of that and rules with an iron paw. As Marmaduke works through his problems and tries to introduce a little fairness, his owner Phil (Lee Pace) also attempts to make a success of his new job.
Both are forced to make major decisions about what is most important to them and their families. The wrong decisions may have dire consequences. Marmaduke is a wonderful family-friendly movie.
It is a happy and funny story brought to life with Wilson's comic genius.
