Northland is the place to be this Easter weekend with a huge variety of exciting events across the region and a forecast of sunny skies.
The top three events are the first Whangarei Fritter Festival, the Waipu Carnival and the Hokifest at Omapere.
The Whangarei Fritter Festival at Toll Stadium
on Saturday boasts headline act The Black Seeds, as well as supporting acts Sola Rosa and Batucada Sound Machine. The event kicks off at 11am and tickets can be bought from eventfinder.co.nz and Forum North Box Office.
If you're in the Bream Bay region, head to Waipu on Saturday for the annual Waipu Carnival at Caledonian Park, where everything from old-fashioned handmade toffee apples to artisan cakes and goodies, funky gifts and potted plants are up for grabs.
Then there's the Hokifest aka the Hokianga Food & Wine Festival, also on Saturday from 11am.
