Beauty spot: Redken hairsprays

It's the hair product that never really goes out of fashion. Since the invention of hairspray in the 1940s, formulas have been improved and honed to perfection, but that final, hold-it-all-in spray has remained the finishing touch of every good hairdo.
Redken's latest hairsprays have a different hold for every style, whether you want to increase the volume on bedhead curls or seal in an elaborate up-do. Fashion Work 12 ($36) is designed to be sprayed on to dry hair to build volume, or on to wet hair for a rough texture. Quick Dry 18 ($36) is an instant finishing spray that goes on easily and dries quickly for a lasting hold. My favourite, Renovated Forceful 23 ($36), is awesome sprayed on to just-straightened hair to stop it getting frizzy.
