It's not just because I've recently taken to storing beauty products in the pantry that there's been some confusion about what we're meant to eat and what we are meant to apply.
The Nutrimetics chocolate range smells good enough to devour, whether it's the chocolate/minty instant manicure, the caramel-scented body souffle
or the dark chocolate and coffee-inspired body scrub. My favourite is the instant manicure - a really intense treatment that hydrates hands and gets rid of rough skin patches.
Fruity beauty has been around for a while - check out L'Oreal Glam Shine lipgloss in Tangerine. It's a fun, spirit-lifting colour for winter. Natio's Berry Beautiful Colour Palette in Deep Berry is another gorgeous option, with colours for your lips and eyes as well as bronzer and blush. Berry shades look great on paler skin tones - and are perfect for lips if you don't want to go fully red. The deep-berry eyeshadow shades are also beautiful for a smoky evening look.
If you want to start every morning with an invigorating smell sensation, hunt out L'Oreal Perfect Clean Glow. It's a light scrub that gives your complexion a boost and smells like apricot-heavy fruit salad.
Food-inspired perfumes are getting more and more popular, and not just with young girls. Britney Spears' Fantasy is a good example, with hints of cupcake, white chocolate and lychee. Fergie's Outspoken has touches of berry, and Thierry Mugler's Angel is a sweet old favourite, tipped as the one that started it with hints of praline and chocolate.
