Kiwi singer/songwriter Annie Crummer is performing at a free family festival and sports expo in Kaikohe on Saturday.
The Whanau Fun Fest is being held at Lindvart Park 10am to 12.30pm on March 1, with support acts Max Cochrane, Red Pill and Heremaia Tuiloma.
The MCs are Kihi Ririnui andRichard Koroi of Tautoko FM.
The event also features a kids' sports expo, hosted by Sport Northland, and a pepi (baby) playground. Registration for the sports expo is free and starts at 9.30am.
That evening Crummer is heading to the Hokianga for a gig at the Horeke Tavern.
She first made her name in the 1980s as a singer with the Netherworld Dancing Toys and When the Cat's Away, later carving out a successful solo career.
She currently features in season two of Songs from the Inside, a Maori TV series in which musicians teach prison inmates to write, sing and record their own songs.
