So you've decorated the tree, possibly decorated the presents with colour-matched ribbon and tags, and pretty soon it will be time to stud the ham with cloves and decorate the pav with kiwifruit.
Sounds like it's time you were decorated yourself.
Make the job easier for your loved ones by picking out
a necklace, bracelet or ring you know that they'd love to buy you.
That way if your heart is set on accessorising with something sparkly, other than a Christmas cracker hat on the big day, you'll get your wish and the giver will feel happy every time they see you wearing it.
Here are some suggestions for making it work:

From the significant other

A heart-shaped piece will do the trick.
Ask the person of significance for a heart pendant necklace or ring from Meadowlark's No Energy Vampires collection.
They're bound to enjoy the fact their pressie for you has some extra meaning.
Stolen Girlfriends Club's new pieces also include a cute but classy Stolen Heart Ring.
Now wouldn't that do the job of filling out the toe of the Christmas stocking nicely?

From mum

Mothers love seeing perfectly sweet jewellery on their daughters, which makes them the perfect person to hit up for one of the pieces from Lisa Hoskin's new Love Notes collection. The collection has a sterling silver line that has standout pieces like a delicate charm bracelet of musical motifs. You don't need to read sheet music to appreciate these beautiful pieces - and your mum won't either.
From the best friend
Okay, so you're going to have to have a pretty generous bestie, but the perfect gift from a friend this Christmas would come from Boh Runga's new jewellery range for the New Zealand Mint. Called Weapons of Mass Devotion, it calls on Cupid's arsenal and renders it in sterling silver. Prices start at $155.
Just make sure you get them something equally stunning - something from Karen Walker's Superfine collection perhaps?
From yourself
It's been a long year, so why not reward yourself for all that's been achieved over the past 365 days with a nga waiata ring.
Sustainably mined crystals and native recycled woods make them a pleasure to wear. There are eight crystals to choose from including citrine, amethyst, fluorite and rose quartz. You'll know the right one for you when you see it.
