It's a tad or quite a lot on the cheesy side, and you need to be in a loved-up mood to listen to this double-CD collection of 36 tracks, but it's worthy of a listen. Some of my faves on this double CD include some champaign with How 'Bout Us
and Wildfire by Michael Martin Murphey, Katie Melua's The Closest Thing To Crazy, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Peter Blakeley and The Chi-Lites with Oh Girl. This song featured on the last compilation I reviewed - The Beautiful Songbook as did John Rowles' If I Only Had Time.
Some of the more recognisable love themes to feature include Endless Love by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, Up Where We Belong by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes and Don't Know Much by Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville. Also, Richard Marx's Right Here Waiting, Bette Midler's The Rose, Air Supply's All Out of Love and My Eyes Adored You by Frankie Valli.
This is a good collection of tracks from decades gone by.
