When it comes to nostalgia compilations, one era that's been criminally overlooked until now is the mid- to late-90s.
Possibly because no one wants to believe those years are now more than a decade gone and the sounds of the time are officially what's known as "old people's music".
But what a
selection. It's like the good folk at Universal were spying on me all those years ago and taking note of my favourite tracks at the time.
From Semisonic's Closing Time to Our Lady Peace's Superman's Dead and Eve 6's Inside Out, the soft rock blends in well with the more alternative tracks like Radiohead's Fake Plastic Trees and Marcy Playground's Sex and Candy.
Then there's classic rock tracks like Seven Mary Three's Cumbersome and Live's Lightning Crashes.
I could just list all 38, but if you like the sound of any of these then this should be a bit of you.
Favourite track: The Verve Pipe's The Freshmen
Guilty pleasure: New Radicals' You Get What You Give.
