Rockinghorse - Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra
Jools Holland stamps his inimitable mark and characteristic ivory tickling on this collection of originals and fresh arrangements of other people's tunes.
He has a bit of help from an impressive line-up of talent, including Ruby Turner, Booker T, Sam Brown and Alison Moyet.
The latest serving of R&B a la Jools ranges from 1950s rock'n'roll-style toe-tappers such as Roll Out of this Hole to the swing big band title track Rockinghorse. More traditional blues come from Got My Mojo Working with Rosie Mae and I've Got News for You with Michael McDonald.
Some are urgent and up tempo, while other tracks are relatively mellow, offering a little something for everyone. A personal favourite is London Belongs to Me, showing a more serious side to ultra-Cockney duo Chas & Dave.
