Sixteen artists have got together to do their versions of 15 songs of Tim and Neil Finn. At first listen, I didn't really think it worked, but after a few more spins of the CD all I can say is that it's okay.
Although some of my favourite Finn numbers are
absolutely slaughtered, the redeeming tracks on the album are Jimmy Barnes' version of Message To My Girl, Darren Hayes singing Not Even Close, Busby Marou's version Better Be Home Soon and Boy & Bear singing Fall At Your Feet. Glenn Richards does a fun remake of She Got Body, She Got Soul.
Some of the other tracks include I See Red sung by Art vs Science - I prefer the original version. Paul Kelly and Angus Stone do an okay take on Four Seasons in One Day.
I don't know whether it's the artists chosen or what, but I still prefer the original sounds of the two Finn boys.
