Film boffins have long referred to Star Wars as a Western in space.
While listening to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack you'll realise you've come across what sounds like a Western in cyberspace.
Not that the digital world and the wild frontier have much in common - but Daft Punk have taken their task seriously enough to move at times here light years away from their usual dance fare and provide a broad electronic, yet cinematic, sound that speaks of epic adventure.
Hopefully you've seen the movie by now because sometimes song titles on movie soundtracks give away the plot - as with the particularly impressive Flynn Lives, which carries the signature brass tune as it swirls orchestrally towards the climax of the closing tracks.
