Approved entrants in the Westpac Northland Business Excellence Awards had the chance to size up their competition, network and chat to sponsors and judges at the pre-awards party at The Bank St Social Club in Whangarei.
The next time the guests see each other as a group will be intheir glad rags at the awards night in The Old Money Factory Building at the top of a hill between Onerahi and central Whangarei, on October 26, the first time the former money hall has been used for a major social event.
The Northland Chamber of Commerce is promising that "the venue will be transformed beyond recognition and the event will showcase fabulous local food and wine, and Northland talent". Guests are being ferried to and from the venue in buses free - but only available to pre-registered guests. Formalities end at 10.30pm, and partying, sharp on midnight.
The only finalists to be announced before the night are those for the MORE FM Customer Choice category: Marty's Golf Cafe, Dawn Dutton Photography, Red Pizzeria, Alpha Kids, Regency Pies, Whangarei Life Education Trust, Central Butchery Kawakawa, Caffeine, The Flower Shed and Variety #1.
