The first Collective Marketplace held in Forum North on Saturday was a big success for the public and stallholders according to Jane Frazerhurst, one of the market organisers.
Ms Frazerhurst said she and fellow organiser Brooke Gibson decided there was a need to raise awareness of mothers in business.
"Webelieved there was nothing available for mums in business to showcase their work. A lot of mothers are selling their products online but there's nowhere for the work to be actually seen."

She said there was a wide variety of products and services on display, including women's fashion, beauty, health and fitness products, massage therapy and a large number of food stalls.
"We were very happy with the number of people coming in to the market - there was a constant stream from the time the doors opened at 10am until we closed as 2pm."
Ms Frazerhurst said one of the success stories of the day was Julie Garthwaite's Tutu Fruti stand, which sold most of her product.
"She also made contact with the owner of a national chain of stores who wants her to supply his stores."
The pair are looking at doing up to four markets a year.
