A collaborative business and event space for the growing community of entrepreneurs, start-ups and established business professionals in Northland has celebrated its first year.

The Orchard, upstairs at the corner of Cameron and Walton Sts, offers all the facilities of a premium office fit-out, a creative environment and a thriving community of like minds.

Northland Inc and the Northland Chamber of Commerce are located within the hub, providing the advantage of direct access to expert business advice, tools and professional support networks under one roof.

Content and communications manager Maria Low said 120 people attended the one-year birthday celebration which was tied together with one of the regular Chamber of Commerce Business After 5 (BA5) events.

The event was MC'd by Mediaworks programme director Bryn Ingham. Speakers were Northland Chamber of Commerce chief executive Tony Collins, Northland Inc Board chairwoman Karleen Everitt and Orchard activator Kayla Tattley.
