Here's a thought: we can pick up on each other's energy. Another thought: an energy or "frequency" associated with love or appreciation of life makes our hearts beat in a harmonious rhythm. And: we can learn to activate those positive-emotion states. Result: greater "heart intelligence", intuitive responsiveness and access to the creative and healing powers of the universe.

Okay, so concepts of positive and collective energy, the health benefits of being stress-free and emotional intelligence are not new. But a Northland couple who have been among the US pioneers of the heart-mind-energy coherency and bio-emotional energy fields have developed a new, "science-based" programme which will help people access the great universal reserve of positive, healing energy.

Dr Raymond Bradley and his partner, Dana Tomasino, are experts on the untapped power and potential that universal interconnectedness offers people - for insight, creativity, and healing.

Bradley and Tomasino live on 44 hectares of regenerating bush overlooking the coast at Whananaki. A New Zealander, but long-time US resident, Bradley and his former wife bought the land in the mid-1990s, and he and Tomasino are now developing it into the Aorangi Moana Center (note: American "center") for Advanced Research.

The words Aorangi Moana refers to the land, sky and sea - the literal view - but can also be translated as "the larger perspective", Tomasino says.

Bradley and Tomasino hope Aorangi Moana CFAR will become a healing retreat and study centre where people learn more about their bio-emotional energy fields, the power of love in all its connectivity and guises, and how to harness that elusive, "intuitive heart intelligence".

Tonight and next Thursday, they will hold a two-part seminar in Whangarei called Love, Intuition, and Intentionality: Tapping into the Creative Power of Universal Consciousness.

Tomasino will introduce heart-intelligence: "The three things spiritual people don't know about love, intuition and intention that stops them from getting what they really want." Next week, Bradley will talk about people's power to change or participate in the phenomenon that emotion is rooted in, using "the social science".
