The Bay of Islands' sole dinner cruise provider is for sale.
After 20 years of operation, the family-run business Darryl's Dinner Cruise is being marketed by Bayleys.
Sales agent Meredith Graham says the business "presents a uniquely Bay of Islands tourism venture, with plenty of potential to expand on theestablished reputation and client base".
Offered for sale as a freehold going concern, the business centres on the purpose-built floating venue Ratanui, which is 16.5 metres long and has capacity for 55 passengers.
The business offers clients a nautical dining experience, and is currently the only commercial boat charter which takes guests to the famed Haruru Falls - a rare horseshoe-shaped waterfall billed as one of the town's biggest scenic attractions, and New Zealand's first inland river port.
The purpose-built vessel, Ratanui, has a capacity for 55 passengers.
With 144 different islands, the Bay of Islands has some of the busiest waterways in New Zealand, playing host to a constant stream of cruise ships.
Reportedly the fastest-growing area in tourism, New Zealand's cruise sector has doubled its business in the past five years, with an estimated $543 million dollars of economic value generated for the country.
Paihia alone, widely regarded as "the jewel of the Bay of Islands", is expecting 60 major vessels for the 2016-17 season with more than 90,000 individual visitors.
