Weekend of road carnage: 5/6 March 2011
<p>Hawke's Bay emergency services were kept on the run during the weekend as a string of crashes, several on damp or wet roads, were called in. The most serious crash was a two-car collision on Mill Rd early on Saturday morning, which left a 17-year-old male in critical condition. The teenager was one of three people rushed to Hawke's Bay Hospital with what police described as "multiple injuries." Police say it appears one of the vehicles has crossed the centre line.</p>
